Who I am in a nutshell: "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success." **Ralph Waldo Emerson**

Please read, and pass around
I've never stuck around after a funeral long enough to see a casket being 'lowered' into the ground. One who loses a loved one can only assume and hope that this deceased person will be treated with the utmost care and respect but in this case, that isn't so.
I opened this column thinking that it would be about another dead child or something else but to my surprise, it wasn't. This is about a soldier who lost his life in Iraq and the aftermath of his funeral.
Sad? Most definately. Done on purpose? Probably not. Could this have been rectified by Arlington? Oh, hell yeah.
Read this article and pass it around. This is really sad and makes me wonder just how often those loved ones are left in this condition.
