Isn't it just the way to blame the airlines for something that isn't really even their fault.
Northwest said the pilgrims failed to check in one hour before their transatlantic flight from Frankfurt, Germany, to Detroit was scheduled to depart, as is required. The passengers arrived in Frankfurt via a charter flight from Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and mistakenly believed they were cleared to board the Northwest flight, but were not.It is required of all who fly to check in 1 hour before your flight so why exactly should this group of Muslims be excused for their lack of understanding of the procedures at the airport? Why also should they be compensated when the airline offered them passage on the next available flight?
Oh, and lets not forget that now it's discrimination to require a person to have a luggage receipt. No bother, we'll just let the Muslims board any ole plane whenever they want and have whatever seats they want. Hell, let them have the pilots seat.
A Northwest spokesman denied the airline discriminated against the pilgrims, but said compensation would be discussed. He said some of the Muslims got on the flight, while others could not board because they lacked required luggage receipts.Sure, it's an inconvenience but I wonder, how many others out there get the next available flight plus compensation for screwing up at the airport?
Between CAIR, the ACLU and PETA I have a really hard time trying to figure out which is worse!
