Nice sincere apology

A Statement from John Kerry

As a combat veteran, I want to make it clear to anyone in uniform and to their loved ones: my poorly stated joke at a rally was not about, and never intended to refer to any troop.

I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended.

It is clear the Republican Party would rather talk about anything but their failed security policy. I don’t want my verbal slip to be a diversion from the real issues. I will continue to fight for a change of course to provide real security for our country, and a winning strategy for our troops.

Nice apology...FOR the troops not TO the troops. Followed up neatly by some snarky comment about the Republicans. That said because he stated: "I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted".

So sincere that he wrote it at his blog, he couldn't even make an appearance at a press conference and eat crow? What a 'man' he is.

Blaming the American people, blaming the Republicans, blaming every single other person but himself. Driving home tonight I began to wonder just how sincere the Dems who cancelled their appearance with Kerry are. I mean really, are they doing it because they TRULY disagree with this man or simply because it wouldn't look good to those of us who hate what he said therefore, it's more important for them to save face and then go behind closed doors and snicker to eachother about what a bold and brave man he is for saying it like it is. But really I shouldn't really blame the entire democratic party should I? But at the same time, one man does something and it has an affect on the 10, 20, or 2000 others. UGH!!!

This is NOT about Republican or Democrat, this is about one man who has a history of demeaning the military and labeling them and then backpeddling while sticking his other foot in his mouth only to spew out how it's Bush's fault, or the GOP's fault. Give me a damn break! There are no words this man could use that would ever erase this.

See my sidebar? Thank God the troops have a sense of humor. Not only are they risking their lives but they can still find it in their hearts to make jokes when in the middle of a war zone.
