What a Peepoopuke day I had

Let's just say it's been one of those days today! Ugh.

To make a long story as short as I can (hehe, we all know how short my short stories are).

One of my daycare kids was here for maybe a half hour this morning and vomitted all over the floor, the table, her lap, her chair, and her hands. The poor little thing looked so sad when she looked at me, my heart ached for her. After she left....

About an hour later, which is roughly a half hour later than my routine has been with the new puppy, I went to wake him from his slumber only to smell that he couldn't hold his dinner...all over his kennel. And I'm not talking about vomit. Completely my fault as I had been having quite a hectic morning already and my stomach was not feeling all that great.

I had my youngest daughter give him a bath while I cleaned up this mess, hosed everything off, and threw it in the wash. About 5 minutes after the puppy was put down, all clean, he decided to mark his territory on the carpet. And this was only about 15 minutes after he had been out and went to the bathroom. Must've been the water and the nervousness.

Ok, well things were pretty quiet for a couple of hours. Light day with daycare since two of them were sent home. All the babies were good, happy and screaming. Lunch went well, diapers changed and it was quiet time/nap time. Whew, a break.

So, during nap time, I thought that maybe I would get some time to do my crosswords. Not a chance. My youngest daughter came in and told me that Brooks the Beagle had jumped up onto the dining room table and knocked over a rather large vase of flowers. Yes, on the table. He was in search of some leftover food and this dog has a bad habit of doing this when people aren't looking.

There was water EVERYWHERE! Needless to say, I was very happy that it was just water and commented that at least the floor was going to be very clean in this particular spot that was cleaned earlier with the mop.

After cleaning up that mess, I told my daughter that if any other thing were to occur to come and get me....literally 30 seconds after I had gotten myself situated and barely picked up my pen, my daughter returned. "Mom, I hate to tell you this and make your day worse but there's something else...." Oh geez, "Now what!"

One of the other dogs, we don't know which had peed on the carpet behind the loveseat. By this time, I was near tears. Not because of anger or sadness but because of disbelief of what this day had become! The peepoopuke day I will call it.

So now, I sit here and attempt to type this post and was told by my daughter that the little Yorkie had had another accident. And this is after taking the puppy outside. I walked through my kitchen with it in a napkin and asked my daughter and her friend if they wanted dinner.......some tootsie rolls! LOL

In the end, I can think back on this day and thank God that it's almost over and attempt to learn something. What? I don't know but I do know that it's dark, the kids are on their way to bed and the wee dog is in bed for the night.
