One would think that after the holidays, life would settle down a bit. The older I get, the more hectic life seems to actually be. So many holidays, kids in sports, illness, work, and oh, TAXES!!!! Man, if there is one thing that I am not good at when it comes to daycare, it's keeping up each month with the data input of my expenses, income, bills, etc. Providers should earn college credits for accounting skills on top of all the other certificates that we get for our training.
Each year I purposely schedule our tax appointment for as early in the month of February as I can. The government of course is real slow in getting out tax information otherwise I would do it earlier. I create this stress, I know but in the end, the return is worth it.
I haven't been in the most giddy of moods in my last posts as I have been dealing with one stress after another. Burns, illness, holidaze, and now taxes. But there is an upside to all of this. I have scheduled our family vacation for this year. We are not going camping, we have decided to rent out a cabin. We try to alternate years between the two because we do so love to camp but the luxury of having real beds, appliances, real furniture...well, it sure does cut down on the packing. We will be able to bring our bikes this year and go fishing in a boat! Our kids are so excited, they just love our family trips. And for that, I am really grateful. We have also extended our vacation to a week and a half, working our way up to two weeks next year.
It's good to have that to look forward to. Each time I feel the inklings of a migraine surfacing, I now can think about that and it makes my stomach flutter. However, for now, all I can seem to do it think, so much that I cannot concentrate on a positive for my blog. So, I have decided to just alleviate that bothersome stress of trying to come up with a post on France or a Part II to my road trips with my folks until after our tax appointment next week.
Until then, have a great week!!!!!!
