When the grief and pain is just too much

This is really a sad story, the older couple who committed suicide because their dog 'Puppy' died. It's very, very painful to lose a pet. P and I have lost 3 that were very dear to us, two of which died within 6 months of each other. The ache and pain that accompanied that loss...it's still painful to think about.

The empty space it leaves in you, that punch in the gut shot through the heart feeling can be so overwhelming.

I wish that this couple could have found another way in which to grieve but what can one do. They had no children, just that dog and I assume many out there know how difficult it is to lose an animal when you have kids.

I ache for this couple......
