I don't have any problem with this, do you?
Why don't I?
"WORTHINGTON, MINN. - An early morning raid Tuesday shut down the nation's No. 2 meatpacker, as federal agents launched a six-state hunt for illegal workers who allegedly used stolen identities to get hired."
"The raids targeted six plants of Swift & Co., including the pork-processing facility that employs 2,300 in Worthington, Minn., in what the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement termed "a large identity theft scheme that has victimized large numbers of U.S. citizens and lawful residents."
If in fact these people are stealing the identity of American Citizens then they are doing something completely illegal and something that warrants this raid. If not, then send them back to work an reap what you sow.
Then this artcle goes on to say, "Is this fair to the kids"?
"For us, this came out of nowhere," said John Landgaard, Worthington's school superintendent. "There's no manual for something like this. The question is, is it fair to the kids? They're the ones who are getting hurt in this deal."And who's damn fault is that!
I really love how the kids are used as pawns in something like this. And it is a very sad and disturbing circumstance for the kids for many reasons. For others, it points to the authorities and paints them out to be the bad guys....what about these illegal schmucks who come here, steal the identity of some unsuspecting person, and use it for whatever they can get their filthy hands on. Wouldn't this be a great opportunity for us Americans to stand up and try to teach these kids that their parents really screwed up? To explain things?
I do pity these kids, their parents are not looking out for them and are being very irresponsible. Because the parents think its ok, and others in this country welcome illegals with open arms, the kids are going to suffer. DUH!
Sure they want to work, live the American dream but for god's sake, why must they do it all illegally? If these people would have done things the correct way then perhaps none of this would have happened in the first place. Am I wrong?
