Who I am in a nutshell: "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success." **Ralph Waldo Emerson**

Never too old to dream....
Browsing through the archives of a local news station, I found this story.
I have seen some really beautiful older mansions around this state numerous times. Up along the North Shore, around our area, on Summit Avenue in St. Paul and many other places. I see these mansions and my mind begins to roam and dream of what it must be like to walk the floors of such a place, to have more than two bathrooms and bedrooms that are more than likely larger than the one we have now.
I love to dream about living in a house that would be obscenely larger than our family would ever need. Castles and mansions, must be from all the fairy tale cartoons I watched growing up or something. Of course I think I would really hate living in one for a long period of time. Unless of course I had a few maids. Even then, how amazingly lonely something that large would be. Perhaps a vacation or a second honeymoon but to live there permanently...hmmmm. Not my style.
Oh, sorry, got off track. This story I found was titled: "Minneapolis Castle For Sale"
A castle? In Minnesota? Naw, they are normally referred to as Mansions here but after seeing the photos and reading the ad for it, I guess one could refer to it as a castle. Most peculiar? It's being auctioned on EBay......For 3.2 million.
Here's the link and/or item number to go directly to EBay:
