Patrick and I celebrated our 17-year Anniversary yesterday. We didn't do anything super-duper spectacular. We decided to call up my nephew and his fiance to see if maybe they would like to join us for a night out which they decided to do.
We all went out for a mediocre dinner and then onward to the bar for some darts and beer. Needless to say, the beer was flowing and the laughter wasn't in short supply and us women stood our ground in the 4 or 5 games of darts that we played. It was a great night for all of us although we are all feeling it today.
I would just like to say that my marriage is a wonderful adventure. 17 years of bliss is how I look at it really and as I thought about all our years together well, I love him more today than I would've ever thought.
When one is in love, it just doesn't seem humanly possible to love more deeply when there is a single day in all those years that a person is over-flowing with love simply for something the other does that really touches the heart. So many days in all these years I have been bursting at the seams with love and didn't think it could grow any deeper but to my utter amazement, each day brings with it new levels of happiness, sadness, anger, confusion and love.
I just wanted to devote an entry to my sappy side and to the love of my life and thank you Patrick for giving me so many wonderful years!
