Ridicuolous yet not suprising

I have another post for my hubby in the works but with the last few days of events in Duluth, I wanted to post this link because 1) I cannot stand PETA 2) this is so typical of them that 3) refer back to #1

This next link is something that is just another angle on how petty, ridiculous, and simply put irritatingly maddening people can be. Perhaps sitting the children in the middle of the road would create more peaceful enjoyment for these people! Jeezus!

This just really upsets me

While life has been super busy around here, I do try to keep up a bit with this and that. I can tell you this, had I not been so busy I would have written about all this crap quite awhile ago! I find it offensive, disgusting, degrading, and absolutely unacceptable the way people act in this country towards women, towards men, towards children, towards each other. Freedom of speech is one thing but to insult and throw around such distasteful accusations and to conveniently forget that people are human is something that I have no patience for! This woman sums up something on my mind quite nicely. Great article, I thought I would share.

ANDREA TANTAROS: The Latest Media Blood Sport — Attacking Conservative Women

By Andrea Tantaros
Republican Political Commentator/FOXNews.com Contributor

A growing trend seems to be emerging. From Perez Hilton to Playboy’s “Conservative Women Hate List” to David Letterman’s lewd comments about Sarah Palin, it appears that attacking women – specifically conservative women – is not only all the rage, but oddly, acceptable.

————-

The more acceptable it becomes to express violent, crass language against women in the public arena the more you can expect our country to fray at the seams.

————-

I’m not talking about attacks from bottom feeder leftist blogs either. Notable mainstream brands like the Miss USA Organization, “The Late Show” and Playboy magazine have all lost their sense of humor and their sense of decency by allowing conservative women to become a punching bag — and a punch line — for the left.

Watch Andrea Tantaros discuss this topic with America’s Newsroom Host Megyn Kelly:

Forgoing all boundaries, a party that once used to claim to own the violence against women issue has embraced it and let their politics run them when it comes to the issue of misogyny.

On its face, this isn’t even a political issue. It’s a women’s issue –- a human issue that transcends politics. But why, when it comes to the most serious and sensitive attacks against women the National Organization for Women spokeswoman warrants a missing person’s report?

Carrie Prejean was called the most offensive four and five letter words by Miss USA judge Perez Hilton’s after she expressed her traditional views on gay marriage. Was he scolded by one of the organization’s owners, Donald Trump? Hardly. Trump actually expressed willingness to allow Hilton to judge at next year’s competition.

And that’s just the beginning. Playboy magazine published a vile, incendiary list of conservative women it would like to engage in hate sex with, and it was only after public outcry that it pulled the article. Its response was watered down, to say the least. Where was that writer’s editor? (And that editor’s mind, moreover?) It doesn’t take an expert to know that the first stage of violence is thinking about it, then expressing it, then actually doing it.

David Letterman made a disgusting joke about Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s underage daughter and he didn’t stop there. He continued to make an off color joke about the Governor’s appearance making many want to invoke slaps but not against their knees.

Palin is apparently more popular than Letterman. Thanks to growing pressure from viewers Letterman offered — not one — but two — mea culpas. But where was CBS from the start? It was only after the public got involved that the comedian began to react with some seeming sincerity.

For the record, Palin should never appear on his show. Protests calling for his resignation should continue with a larger message to the general population and television executives everywhere: distasteful behavior against females will not be tolerated.

The United States, a champion for women’s rights throughout the world, will have a tough time wagging it’s finger at countries that are less than progressive in their attitudes toward women and crimes against women all over the world when we tolerate hate speak at the expense of the American female, for a few laughs or fame, no less.

The First Amendment protects free speech but there is no reason that we, as citizens and consumers, should buy it. When it comes to those who want to disrespect any woman, we can take it to their bottom line and not only speak out, but also boycott their business.

Violence against women is wrong, no matter what party affiliation, not to mention it’s just not funny. The more acceptable it becomes to express violent, crass language against women in the public arena the more you can expect our country to fray at the seams.

WHY????

The obsession with Sarah Palin's daughter from the left continues! Larry King, what the hell business is it of his to know WHERE sex took place in the Palin home. I'm surprised he didn't ask how and what position...good grief.

And also, is it me or does it seem as though King is trying to provoke some sort of custody dispute over the baby? I watched the video and Johnston clearly states that he likes the family, that he can go see the baby but just can't right now because it's uncomfortable for HIM.

It sure is interesting to read all the various articles about this and see just how the media hypes and inflates stories and turns them into filth! As for King? Get a life already!

What is mine is NOT yours!

I sit here, open up numerous articles to read, read the articles and then head to the comment section 9 times out of 10. Why? Well because most of the time they are much more amusing than the story itself.

This story about the cop who wouldn't allow his neighbor onto his (the cop's) property to 'rescue' his (the neighbor's) cat....

I have to side with the one commenter who, it seems, is the only one who sees the logic in why this cop wouldn't allow this man to rescue that cat. This poor commenter with the name, "I'm right" seems to be really taking the heat.

While this is a cat, a 'living creature', isn't it true that most times cats are able to find their way back down a tree? Perhaps because this cat is an indoor cat it didn't know any better but in my experience, cats usually can find their way back down whatever predicament they may get into.

This cop is still a civilian when he's not on duty right? And is he not a 'living creature'? Should it not matter that he's protecting his ass in the long run after all options were exhausted by the Humane Society, the fire department, and the cop...oh, I mean civilian...himself? Aside from allowing this neighbor to climb, up too high for the Humane Society to get this cat, it seems to me that this man did what he could do without risking what could be if in fact someone had gotten hurt in the process.

I don't even like the neighbor boys climbing on our things or in our trees when they're here because god forbid something happen, we would be liable, we could be sued.

Because of that 'sue-crazy' mentality that surrounds this country, this world, I find this cop, oh, I mean civilian, to be acting within his own best interest and that of the neighbor. Oh, and signing a waiver???? Ha, that is just too funny to even consider!

I would like to point out that this man was considered a 'cop' while in the comfort of his own home. He is considered a cop who used his 'power' for pulling a gun on a couple of non-profit-organization-Citizens for North Phoenix Strays..."Smith and Toman said they chose to go behind the home on a public sidewalk and lean a 25-foot ladder against his back wall."

What if these two fell from that ladder while trying to get this poor little cat and landed on the cop's property????? Do ya think they may have decided to sue him not only because it happened on his property but because it was this cops fault for not just letting them onto the property in the first place? How about animal neglect? Or animal cruelty? Or I know....a scratch that occurred while reaching through the branches to save the cat? or a sliver from the ladder rung? I cannot blame this 'cop'/human/civilian for protecting his property nor for pulling his badge. I believe in property ownership/rights.

In the end...BRAVO to this 'cop' for looking out for himself, his property and his rights as a property owner!!!!! Those who feel that the life of a cat is more important, I'm sorry but the future retirement money that's socked away so that I can grow old with a little money to live on and a cute little cat sitting in my lap keeping me warm is much more important.

Get the priorities straight

I posted once long ago on how gassy cows and moose contributed to global warming...blah, blah, blah....

So today I'm skimming the headlines at Drudge and found this one, "Proposed fee on smelly cows, hogs angers farmers". After reading the article, it angers me a great deal.

Imposing such a thing on farmers would pretty much dry up many accounts for these hard working people who work harder than the idiots who want to make this happen! The EPA...I'm really growing to hate them as much as PETA!!!!! Sorry, I love the animals, I love the earth but there comes a time in this life where more critical things should be taken care of. After all, the earth isn't going to burn up over night! But people will die from frost bite because they have no job to pay for a home and food and are out on the street in this horribly cold weather that we have here right now!

But there's one thing that's being ignored here....it's the COWS that are causing the problems, these ranchers should be rewarded for taking their lives because in the end, the ranchers are the ones who are helping the environment by eliminating the problem!

How bout elephants? They're a large creature? I would bet they emit a lot of gasses too. Man, this could end up depleting one hell of an animal population in this country! What will they do with all the cows when all the cattle ranchers are bankrupt???? Perhaps letting the cows run free and having to herd them just when it's time for processing will ease the burden on the farmers, at least no one can say they own the animals anymore.

This country is already in an economic crisis with thousands of people out of jobs, companies going belly up and now this??? There are much more pressing needs that need some attention in this country than global friggin' warming! I'm really sorry but people are hungry, people are homeless, people are jobless...can you say morons?

Freedom

What is wrong with people in this country???? Thanksgiving is about being thankful. Should it not be an ongoing education for kids about how this day came to be? About why we celebrate? Its not religious, its not about racial stereotypes...that just makes my blood boil every time I see that statement in this article!

If you don't want your kids to celebrate or dress up in costume for a long standing tradition in school then keep them home and teach them how to be selfish! Teach them to be ungrateful, teach them how it's racist to reenact a day in history! Or better yet, simply write a note to the school asking them to please remove your child from the festivities. People do that where I work and our school kindly obliges.

I've seen more racist, sexual, horribly violent things done by actors on the big screen, and I will point out that parents ALLOW their kids to watch these things or even to play video games that portray terrorists killing our own soldiers! THIS is ok! But dressing the kids in little pilgrim hats and Indian costumes is DEMEANING AND RACIST????? What the hell kind of logic is this??!

And this school backs down to this tradition that's been going on for decades???? For pete's sake, where are the spines? Where are the beliefs and the knowledge that history is important for many reasons in this country, a reminder of how it got to this point? Freedoms that so many take for granted and take advantage of, such as this.

I suggest that maybe if parents are going to be so outrageously petty about this or that that they should maybe consider looking into all of this BEFORE they decide to live in a city or a town. Or maybe they should just ... oh forget it!

I just cannot tell you how very irritated I am about this. What's most irritating is that every once in awhile, I sit and ponder all the restrictions that have popped up over the last 5-10 years and I come to the realization that if some day, people don't start fighting and defending things that are important, it will be too late to regain any sort of voice over those who so badly want to drown out what is most important in this country........

Double Standard doesn't even touch this

This country and the people in it have done pissed me off but good. What is wrong with people???

First, what is so damn humorous about hanging an effigy of ANY single person in this country? How is that considered Halloween 'art'. When did it start to occur that supposed adults became a bunch of idiotic bullies who act worse than the kindergarten and first grade kids I deal with every day. I find this sort of behavior to be completely over the top, childish, and appalling....just for the record.

The things I've seen about Sarah Palin have really irked me and that people actually find humor in it is even worse but I've remained pretty silent. My feelings on it are that she's a candidate...albeit, not the PRESIDENTIAL candidate, but she is free game. So is Obama, Biden, and McCain. And I will go as far as to say that Palin IS A WOMAN.

Two guys are arrested in KY for hanging and effigy of Obama. A hanging Obama is no damn worse than hanging an effigy of Palin with McCain buried in flames sticking out of a chimney, but those guys weren't arrested. It's 'free speech', it's art, it's a Halloween prank....Hey, Palin IS a woman; that's discrimination, that's misogynistic, I cry foul because I AM A WOMAN therefore hanging a mannequin of another woman off the eaves of a house to me is like hanging me out there or my girl friends, or my daughters.

The race card is getting a LOT out of hand in this country. If those who support Obama continue on this...racism crusade because Obama is of a different color skin than myself, well hey, I might just have to hop on board for the woman's cause and begin my own friggin' crusade.

Anyone care to join me?

A mental disorder? Hmmmmmm

Man...will I ever be less surprised when I find something so off the wall! For pure entertainment purposes, for perhaps a good, oh-my-gawd laugh due to the way some people believe, I recommend this article I found via ifeminist.com.

Climate change denial is a mental disorder......wow. I know there are people who really care about the planet...I am one of them but I have my limits. This goes above and beyond......

Just my own humble opinion on this

I've been keeping my lips sealed with all the going's on with the RNC in St. Paul this week, and especially the Sarah Palin smearing that has been all over the news. I guess you could say that while I shouldn't be all that shocked at the behavior of the far left leaning groups of haters out there, I am beside myself with both shock and awe.

Over the weekend I just sat here with ENDLESS tabs opened on our computer reading article after article about Sarah Palin actually being the grandmother of Trig and covering for her daughter. Vicious assholes out there who would bring the children of a politician into their nasty and vile rhetoric.

Don't think for a second I wasn't just fuming over all of the things that have been going on in this effed up world. Who would want democrats in office with their lunacy and their outrageous accusations???????? Reading in previous articles about arrests made in St. Paul of people who were armed with guns and bows and arrows and just today about a bus full of cub scouts that was stopped by protesters and shaken by them....Doesn't anyone see the craziness going on around them? Doesn't anyone stop and say......omg, what are we doing?????

For the feminists to be attacking Sarah Palin because she's not staying at home barefoot and pregnant....what a double standard that statement is. Feminist/admonishing her for not staying home to be with her family....DO THE MATH. Here's some advice for those who can't seem to see how dumb they really sound---Figure out your own hypocrisies with this, feminist pushers, who only want to push that ticket if the woman is Hilary.

I can only say that because of all the lunatic madness that's been surrounding the last few days it has more than made my voting decision for me. I would never associate myself with the evilness that is the left leaning crazies.

The New Global Warming Trend

Since the Polar Bear flopped as the face of global warming due to environmentalists making up stories and stealing photos from unsuspecting college students who went on vacation, it seems the new 'poster critter' for Global Warming has waddled it's way into the spotlight:

Here's some light reading on that :

Antarctica's penguins threatened by global warming

However, following that reading, perhaps this might even out the mind a little and how there are definitely more sides to this then the ruination of our planet by us horrible humans:

Skeptical Scientists Urge World To ‘Have the Courage to Do Nothing' At UN Conference

**note the bold additions to this last column/article, cracked me up a bit.

If they wore civilian clothes, then what?

The anti-war mongers really need to learn to decipher humaneness from issue! You know, the war vs. human life, human sacrifice, the act of selflessness.

I certainly hope that whoever made the decision to remove these photos re-thinks their decision.

Troops are part of the government, why shouldn't their photos be posted in the post office? Oh, because their job isn't 'directly' related to the postal service. Only special people qualify for that honor. After all, postal workers are the only people who work through rain, shine, hell and high water right?

When will it be illegal for some joe-schmoo down the road to have a photo of their soldier placed on their desk at work? When will it be too pro war to have photos of our loved ones who protect the a**es of these morons who go around spewing their anti-war rhetoric, in our wallets?

Perhaps I'm a little too peeved over this but if my brother or my daughter had their pictures hung there, simply to honor them as brave human beings, and then suddenly they were removed for no reason, you can bet your butt that I would be banging down the doors of congress, screaming at the governor and whoever else I could to make it a point that one person's feelings about an issue shouldn't out weigh the millions of people who give a damn for human kind.

In the end, who the hell cares what pictures are posted in the post office. If they aren't pornographic or pictures of aborted babies, who has a problem but some whiner who has nothing better to do then stir the pot and make trouble.

These are just pictures...what would happen if someone created a stamp of the hundreds of thousands of soldiers...would they need to be removed from the post office then? Too offensive? Too pro war?

What is REALLY happening in Iraq

In no way am I defending what these soldiers did to that girl and her family. They deserve ANY punishment they can get and then some.

What really irritates me is this guy who created this horrendous movie about it! And how he seems to think that our troops are ALL like this.

Things like this happen on the streets of America more then not, where are the movies about that? Why is it that this war is the blame for the antics of foolish men in uniform who don't understand what their job is really supposed to be.

"The movie is an attempt to bring the reality of what is happening in Iraq to the American people," he told reporters after a press screening.

Is this REALLY what our troops are doing? Raping and killing the innocent over there? What kind of thugs does this nimrod think are fighting for our country!

I demand a ban on animal farts and belches

I'm confused. Isn't it really humans who are ruining the planet? Isn't it the focus of SIG's to protect the animals and their habitat? Doesn't it go against their 'mojo' to contradict themselves by saying that cows farting and defacating and moose farts and belching are a big cause of the ruination of the climate? Or that trees contribute to the carbon dioxide pollution? All the beauty of this planet is actually turning out to be part of the problem?

Face it, not only do the humans and all the inventions and technological discoveries contribute to the 'demise' of this planet....nature plays a big part in it as well. After all, plants and animals are living creatures aren't they?

Hmmm.............very interesting. When will the frogs croaking contribute, or the crickets chirping, or the baby birds peeping for the mama bird to bring it a worm that she wasted some breath on to get out of the ground? Ooops, theres an ant, one of the most active and industrious insects around....HURRY, step on it! It's killing us.

This is boy scouts?

Boy scouts...when I think of that I think of camping, campfires, roughing it, hunting, bow and arrows. Never, in my wildest dreams did I ever think about veggie burgers or no campfires or salads. I really wanted to put my son in boy scouts but with all the things going on, there was that trust issue with me. And him being my only son, I don't let go too easily with him.

But back to this..

Scouts banned from eating burgers and bangers - because of religious beliefs

I don't have a problem respecting other people's religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or whether they want to breastfeed their babies. What I do have a problem with is how because 5 people out of 25, for example, who don't believe in eating meat, the WHOLE group must respect their beliefs and cater to them. That's where things start to make me angry.

Be a vegetarian, be a lutheran, be a homosexual, don't breastfeed your babies but by god respect that I don't agree with how you do things and move on. Why must we all be choked with the claws of those who have different beliefs? Why must we all put aside our own beliefs, likes and dislikes for the sake of those out there who disagree? Why couldn't they include meat for those boys who don't have religious beliefs? Why just for those vegetarians?

The scales are so tipped these days, there's no such thing as coming together, agreeing to disagree, and accepting that we are not all the same people!

I guess in the end, I'm really glad I don't have my boy in boy scouts. We take him out and show him how to rough it every other year and he does much of the same things that the scouts do. But it would be nice for him to learn about things with others his own age, to experience the wild outdoors with boys who are just as curious and rambunctious as him...it's really just too bad the way this world is turning.

Ummmmm--Ok?

NYC Health Officials Move To Get Babies Off Bottle

Wow, I didn't realize this was up to the world to decide? And some might point out that it's not right that I don't believe in abortion and women's choice in this matter...well, sorry but there's a difference.

This is just nuts!!!! There are many benefits to breastfeeding but wasn't there just a big to-do about breastfeeding in public not to long ago?

All I can do is ponder this in utter amazement....

Screaming on the inside!

I've put up this picture because my thoughts on this are too angry to rant. Planting a seed for women, children, to look at every man as some sort of monster is how I see this. Yes, there are monsters out there lurking but for the record, they aren't all men! If I were a man, I would feel outrage, sadness, shame, like an outcast, scared to be a dad or a good uncle or a good brother. I would be afraid to walk within 2 feet of a child. This is ... ugh. I, as a woman, am so tired of this crap! Women complain because their husbands don't help out more with the kids...how can they when they are all being scrutinized for every little hug, caress, kiss?!

If you can't stand the heat then get out of the country!

As pointed out in a comment to this article, if it were you or I driving without a license/insurance, we would be arrested and our cars towed. Why is it that setting up a road block and checking for illegal DRIVERS is now targeting illegal aliens?

Boooooo-friggin hoooooooo, get these lawbreakers off the damn roads and make them suffer the way us Americans must when we break the laws! White, black, hispanic, asian, whatever, if they break the laws set forth in this country, then they too should suffer the consequeneces!

Power is Sexy **cough**

Can this be for real? An article about how great dating is for the Dems since they took over? How sexy they are? How much better they dress? And how they get better tables at resaraunts? This rise of power is perplexing. The power of beauty. Shallow, selfish, people.

I guess that working on the actual problems that face this country its time we all hold the mentality that we should make love...not war. What a disgraceful bunch these people are.

Dems are bringing sexy back

Stop this insanity, its getting nauseating!

This crap with the environment is really getting insane and out of hand.

We recycle, we do our best to conserve energy, we do our best to live clean and to pick up trash along the roads. Sadly, we must breathe though which is a problem.

Perhaps its time we have a "world suicide day" to appease the desires of the loonies out there who feel that this earth would be much better without any humans. I mean really, theres a national holiday for every other damn thing! I notice though that they don't include themselves in the equation, just children/large families and population.

Light bulbs being handed out at school full of mercury. We aren't going to use them, they're full of mercury. A chemical that's dangerous. Cheryl Crow and her crusade to get people to wipe with a single square of toilet paper--perhaps maybe a whopping three if you doody in the toilet. Or her creation of the button on napkin attached to a shirt so we don't have to use napkins. What about all the chemicals used to wash that handy little napkin. Or the electricity used to wash it?

Come on people, step up to the plate here and realize that the hype over this global warming crap is going way over the top. We might as well turn into China for God's sake and start killing all the baby boys since men are useless in this country anyway.

Oh, and they complain about this war? They should be jumping for joy, so many people are being killed!!!!!! That's definately helping the environment isn't it? Or maybe we should advocate for more whack jobs like Cho, the shooter at Virginia Tech.

Sorry folks. I don't focus on global warming all that much but it's a little difficult when I see articles such as these two below. People really need to stop smoking crack and meth and get back to reality here.

Hey, I'm straight so arrest me

What has happened to this country? For as long as I can remember there has been racism, hatred, bigotry, name calling but I don't recall people being fired or sued for it.

As a kid, there were certain words that were taboo...the N word or the F word, words that would directly get me shot or hurt or that were just disrespectful to another human being.

I am not one who takes those words lightly but I am also not one who would scream at another for using them. If a person chooses to be nasty and mean to another, that's their problem, it's not my business. I am responsible for me, my actions and my words. Yet some would say that is part of the problem, I just don't care. Oh, I care if it's my kids spewing it or a close friend or my hubby or my parents or family but not enough to put them out like a lit match.

Really, why is it the world's business, all this politically correct garbage? Why? It's getting people fired, it's causing kids to be suspended from school, it's headlines for pete's sake. There's a war going on in Iraq, murders being committed...oh, some by those who feel slighted and discriminated against who we should all really feel sorry for. There are so many more important things going on that are being ignored but the feelings of people seem to be up front and foremost.

White, black, asian, japanese, hmong, indian, mexican, christian, lutheran, johovahs witness, scientologist, along with numerous others out there have been ridiculed and seen in a harsh light. Growing up, I learned to just walk away from something that I didn't like or agree with. Call me selfish but I am me, I feel it's important to live up to my own standards and not those that are attempts to indoctrinate me, and it's my responsibility to watch my own back. And these days it seems that you must always have an eye on the back of your head for safety's sake.

Now, it's necessary for straight people to announce that they are in fact straight only they get suspended from school or are called homophobes or whatever. What is it called when a lesbian or a gay parades around that they are gay? Acceptable behavior?

Apparently in this case it is: Michigan student suspended for wearing 'I'm straight' sticker

I guess being straight, white and Christian is now a suspendable thing eh? I wonder when it will be considered criminal?
